HURGHADA - Torbjörn Blomdahl will open the main event in the Hurghada World Cup tomorrow at 12.00 local time (11.00 CET) in a match against Eddy Leppens, Frédéric Caudron is closing the day against Murat Tüzül at 19.30. That is the result of the draw, done by UMB sportsdirector Farouk Barki and his assistant Nabil Salama in the lobby of the Sunrise Beach Garden hotel.
 
The top players are in the line of fire in the last of three World Cups, especially where in the battle around the positions between ten and fourteen in the ranking.

Thirteen players from the preliminaries will join the twelve seeded players and seven players with a wildcard. The 32 players in the main event were divided in the schedule into four groups of four matches.

The defending champion, Adnan Yüksel, meets another Turk, Lütfi Cenet.
 
Most interesting games are: Dani Sánchez-Tayfun Tasdemir, Dick Jaspers-Choong Bok Lee, Eddy Merckx-Javier Palazón, Martin Horn-Jean Paul de Bruijn and Torbjörn Blomdahl-Eddy Leppens.
